How I Work

Below is a summary of the software development process that I carry out for my customers:

Discuss

During this initial phase, I liaise with the client to understand the requirements for each feature needed, prioritize them and ensure that management approval is obtained.
Design

Following the initial discussions, I then create all the necessary functional and technical specifications including page wireframe designs.
Develop

Next, I crack on with the development of the system inline with the specifications. This includes the building of all the required pages and associated back-end code and also all the components for a database if one is required. Connections to third-party systems (via APIs) are also built in this phase.
Debug

Alongside the development activity is a range of testing methods, including system and user acceptance testing.
Deliver

Finally, comes the deployment of the system and features to a live environment, the user training and handover.

Discuss
During this initial phase I liaise with the client to understand the requirements.
Design
Following the initial discussions, I then build the app specifications.
Develop
Next, I crack on with the development of the app inline with the designs.
Debug
In conjuction with the development is the testing of the completed modules.
Deliver
Finally, comes the roll-out, the training and the handover.

Andy, as an all rounder, was able to take ownership of every task for the development of our new CLINICS system.
